Lowther were appointed by Bowmer & Kirkland Ltd to deliver the soft landscape construction works at the new Bowbrook School in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
Overview
The project formed part of the construction of a new school, with Lowther appointed by main contractor Bowmer & Kirkland Ltd to carry out the full soft landscape package across the site and its perimeter.
Works Undertaken
The works included the construction of large ornamental shrub beds complemented by extensive areas of turf. Over 100 semi-mature trees were planted alongside large woodland belts to the perimeter of the scheme, providing a long-term landscape framework for the site boundary.
Wildflower seeding was carried out across large areas, including a specific seed mix applied to the swale areas to enhance drainage function and biodiversity value.
