Lowther were appointed by Bowmer & Kirkland to deliver all landscape construction works for the new student accommodation at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln.

Overview

The project formed part of a new student accommodation development at Bishop Grosseteste University, with Lowther appointed by main contractor Bowmer & Kirkland to carry out the full hard and soft landscape package across the site.

Works Undertaken

The works included the construction of raised planters, ornamental shrub beds and hedge lines, with timber sleeper walls forming the structural element of the planter build. All topsoiling was carried out by Lowther, with close attention to precision around adjacent paving.

The soft landscaping included the installation of over 85 semi-mature trees and approximately 25,000 ornamental shrubs. Large areas of turf were laid to complete the finished landscape across the development.
