About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced tree surgeon to join our arboricultural team based at our Penrith head office. You will carry out a wide range of tree surgery operations across Cumbria, the North of England and Scotland, including felling, pruning, pollarding, crown reductions and dismantling works.

Responsibilities

Carry out aerial tree work using ropes and harnesses, MEWPs and other access methods
Fell, prune, pollard and dismantle trees safely and to specification
Operate chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders and other arboricultural equipment
Carry out rigging operations for complex or confined-space removals
Maintain all tools and equipment in safe working order
Complete risk assessments and method statements as required
Work to strict ecological protocols and seasonal timing restrictions where applicable

About You

You will be an experienced climber with a strong track record of safe, efficient tree surgery work. You are confident working at height, competent with a range of chainsaws and equipment, and committed to maintaining the highest safety standards.

Required Certifications

NPTC CS30/31 (Chainsaw Maintenance and Crosscutting)
NPTC CS38 (Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue)
NPTC CS39 (Aerial Tree Pruning) or equivalent
CSCS card
Full UK driving licence
