About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced tree surgeon to join our arboricultural team based at our Penrith head office. You will carry out a wide range of tree surgery operations across Cumbria, the North of England and Scotland, including felling, pruning, pollarding, crown reductions and dismantling works.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out aerial tree work using ropes and harnesses, MEWPs and other access methods
  • Fell, prune, pollard and dismantle trees safely and to specification
  • Operate chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders and other arboricultural equipment
  • Carry out rigging operations for complex or confined-space removals
  • Maintain all tools and equipment in safe working order
  • Complete risk assessments and method statements as required
  • Work to strict ecological protocols and seasonal timing restrictions where applicable

About You

You will be an experienced climber with a strong track record of safe, efficient tree surgery work. You are confident working at height, competent with a range of chainsaws and equipment, and committed to maintaining the highest safety standards.

Required Certifications

NPTC CS30/31 (Chainsaw Maintenance and Crosscutting)
NPTC CS38 (Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue)
NPTC CS39 (Aerial Tree Pruning) or equivalent
CSCS card
Full UK driving licence
