About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced plant operator to join our Castleford team. You will operate a range of excavators, dumpers and specialist plant on commercial landscaping, groundworks and fencing projects across Yorkshire and the North East. Our projects range from highway schemes and new-build developments to waterway restoration and ecological works, so you will need to be adaptable and comfortable working in varied site conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate excavators (up to 20 tonnes), forward tipping dumpers and ride-on rollers safely and efficiently
  • Carry out earthworks, muck shifting, grading and level formation
  • Excavate tree pits, fence post holes, drainage trenches and pond features
  • Load and unload materials and plant on site
  • Carry out daily pre-start checks and report any defects
  • Work in confined spaces, near services and on sensitive ecological sites as required
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, method statements and site-specific rules

About You

You will be a competent and experienced plant operator with valid CPCS or NPORS cards. You are safety-conscious, reliable and take care of the equipment you operate. Experience working on landscaping or environmental projects is an advantage.

CSCS card
Full UK driving licence
