About the Role

We are looking for a qualified arboricultural surveyor to join our specialist surveying team based at our Penrith head office. You will travel nationally to deliver BS5837 surveys, tree condition assessments, arboricultural impact assessments and development watching briefs for clients across multiple sectors including construction, highways, utilities and local government.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out BS5837 surveys (Trees in Relation to Design, Demolition and Construction)
  • Undertake tree condition surveys and Visual Tree Assessments
  • Prepare arboricultural impact assessments and method statements
  • Provide development watching briefs on construction sites
  • Capture all survey data using GPS and CAD recording systems
  • Produce clear, accurate and actionable survey reports
  • Advise clients on tree management, retention and removal strategies
  • Support the delivery of advanced tree assessments including Sonic Tomography where required

About You

You will hold a relevant arboricultural qualification and have demonstrable experience in tree surveying and report writing. You are methodical, technically confident and able to manage your own workload across multiple sites. You are comfortable travelling nationally and working independently.

Required Certifications

Degree, HND or equivalent in Arboriculture, Forestry or related discipline
Tech Cert or Professional Diploma in Arboriculture (desirable)
LANTRA Professional Tree Inspection qualification (desirable)
Full UK driving licence
